A 40 minute telephonic interview, was it enough?

The conversation was good but nothing overly good. She did wish me luck and seemed happy at the end. How do you think it will affect my chances?

I think usually face to face interviews are about 20-30 minutes so one by telephone shouldn’t be that much different.

Thanks@redwall1521 I had read somewhere that interviews are usually 60 minutes so I thought maybe she ended it because she didn’t want to continue thanks for clearing it up.

Interviews do not carry much weight in the admissions process. If you severely botched it by being rude or making an inappropriate comment it could register on the radar but otherwise it means little except to keep the alumni involved in the process and to confirm that you are a viable candidate. In the absence of any extreme mis-steps on your behalf, I would make the assumption that your interviewer had another commitment or very busy day and therefore needed to keep the timeframe concise.
