Hi, I'm a high school junior, soon-2-be senior.

And I have a discussion question for everyone. Personally, one of the major deciding factors for me when I choose where I want to go to college is singing groups. Currently, I sing in my school's, Chorus, Choir, and A Cappella groups. I want to continue that in college, so I wanted to know which schools (besides the well-known Yale) have a rep for college a cappella. Discuss. Thanks.

Think any northeastern liberal arts college. Williams, especially. Although I really like the names of the groups at MIT - the Logarhythms and the Chorallaries.

A capella groups are the most ubiquitous clubs of any sort to be found at a college. Even the tiny tech schools have them. Don't worry. And if you end up in a lesser one that just means you could be doing a lot more solos. The more well-known ones will just be more cut-throat, and singing shouldn't be competitive like that.

Oh yeah, A Cappellas are a huge scene on the JHU campus (single sex and coed groups) and the Octopodes recieved 1st place at The International Championship of Collegiate A Capella in 2004.
