A chance, if you please.

Hi, everyone :) I am currently a junior at a Catholic high school in Central Florida that is considered very academically strong. I am a female, not a minority, Roman Catholic, from a very low income family (my father teaches at my school), and in desperate need of some serious financial aid, if not a full ride somewhere.

I consider it a plus that I'm from Florida. I moved here from New Jersey about two years ago, and attend a school where most of the kids are applying to University of Florida, FSU, UCF, or the local community college.

Here are the schools I'm thinking about - I haven't devoted myself to this list, though, I'm still researching most of them.
Princeton (my reach school)
Colgate
Georgetown
Amherst
Vassar
Loyola Maryland (a safety school)
William & Mary
Johns Hopkins
Catholic University in DC

My major in college is probably going to be International Relations or Peace and Conflict Studies, along with a double major or minor in French Studies.

Okay, I'll give you as much information as I can about my statistics.

GPA: 4.52 weighted at the end of last year. will probably increase, my grades have gone up this year. I estimate it to be around 3.8-3.9 unweighted.
Rank: Top 5% out of 350 or so students.
SAT score: 2150 (740 Critical Reading, 710 Math, 700 Writing. I'm taking a course, these will also go up.)
ACT score: Not submitting. That's not a big deal, right?

AP Classes: 7-8 by the time I graduate.
Human Geography (5), United States History, Language & Composition, American Government, Environmental Science, Literature, French Language, possibly Physics B.

All of my other classes are honors, except for my mandatory religion classes that drag down my GPA. Yay!

Extracurricular Activities:
Drama Club: my major time commitment, steals 2-5 days a week as well as my weekends. I've acted as an Assistant Stage Manager, Head of Publicity, and a couple of other positions.

The Justice League: this is a social justice club that I founded at the two high schools I've attended. I've organized a couple of major fundraisers, most notably for the Save Darfur campaign, but the main point of the club is to raise awareness. I've also just added a blog/forum component, which will hopefully open up discussions about issues people find important.

French Club: 3+ years, will be running for President next year and will probably win.

Honors Societies: NHS, English Honors Society, Rho Kappa (Social Studies), French Honors Society.

Volunteer Work:
Volunteered for the Obama '08 Campaign.
Have volunteered at my hospital, like everyone else. Most boring job ever.
Taught CCD classes and assisted Head of CCD program at my local church.
Volunteer at Brother's Keeper, a clothing drive at my local church.

I've also applied to a couple of summer programs for this next summer, and if that doesn't pan out, I'll be getting a job.

My main activities during college will probably be Political Activism, any Comedy/Improv Act that I can find, maybe Campus Ministries, and assisting in some Drama programs.

Thanks, everyone. I really appreciate you guys looking at this.
