A Cornell University Forum?

I noticed the other day that there are no Cornell-only forums that are truly set up to accommodate Cornell discussion. This forum is great to discuss college in general, especially differences between schools for perspective students. However, neither this, nor the c/o 2009 site is truly equipt to house organized, in-depth discussion regarding Cornell.

So....in my boredom, I decided to set up a Cornell forum based on the invision proboard. It is an easy to use interface and is probably the most popular type of forum currently in use.

I'm really not sure if people will like the idea or not, but I thought it would be nice to have a place where people can really talk about Cornell, and Cornell only (i'm getting sick of "Cornel vs. XXXXXX" and "why cornell" threads).

I can't really post a link to it here, because it is against forum rules. I put a link to it in my personal profile on this forum though, and would really appreciate it if eveyone could at least take a peak and give me some feedback.

If people don't like the idea, I'll just scrap it and continue as is. I just felt a place where all cornellians could come together would be nice.

It isn't really done getting set up yet up, but if you want to join, feel free to.

By the way, the link is listed as my "homepage" if you can't find it.

Alright, a lot of people are viewing, but no one is commenting. Anyone have ANYTHING at all to say?

If it's really that bad an idea i'll just scrap it.

i'm just ignoring the cornell vs. threads...

I'm kind of confused, but aren't you describing what the Class of 2009 site provides in the way of forums?

theres a class of 09 forum on the top of the cornell page here, too

It wasn't meant to be just for the class of 09', but just a cornell forum in general. It's just easier to use than most systems, I thought that some people would like to use it.

It's organized into many different forums, instead of just having one big "cornell" forum with all the topics jumbled into a list like some places.

The system is much neater/sharper, allows for avatars/signatures, images, user groups, etc. It's a world of difference.
