Alright so first of all I was wondering what were some of the good dorms to try to enroll in? By good I mainly mean social rather than nice rooms or anything like that as that is more important to me.
Secondly, how is the greek life at Cal Poly? Is it any big and should I consider rushing a fraternity?
For dorms, I’d suggest looking into the dorms that are associated with your major. There are red bricks that are associated with every college at Cal Poly and they are pretty helpful because you are living with students in your major and your classes. But to answer your question, Sierra Madre is considered the biggest “party dorm” and Tenaya is also very social.
Greek Life is pretty big at Cal Poly in the sense that there are a lot of students involved in it. I don’t think it is as selective as other school’s greek life systems. I suggest you go out to rush and just see how you like it. If you don’t feel like you fit with it, then you don’t have to accept a bid if you get one.
