I’m not sure about if this forum allows outside links, but if you search this title, a student records his day.
If you look at the rest of his videos, he has one visiting CWRU, Cleveland, and packing for school.
Hope this helps.

Sorry - it’s on YouTube
That video is great, and I was surprised at how many other great videos there are if you search “CWRU” on YouTube. There are a number that really show how beautiful the campus is and how much fun the students are having there.
This video shows how creative Case dance program is, incorporating holograms-

Case is really excellent for students interested in art history, dance, music and also some technology field.
My daughter is concerned that CWRU might have a high percentage of introverted socially-awkward students. She is worried that she wouldn’t fit in. Any current students care to comment?
@vamom4 This is why it is good to visit a school to see how you 'fit" in…either before or during admitted students. day.
Yes, I read that. But it’s four years old and only one opinion, so I was hoping for more feedback.
Me too would love get more perspective as well haven’t been able to visit. It seems like a super place
Thanks for trying tohelp @bopper but those threads are 14, 5 and 9 years old, and that’s why I’m hoping for some more updated information. ;
@vamom4 I don’t know much about CWRU but am going to visit it with my daughter in April. A friend who is also visiting with his daughter showed me this video about the sororities at CWRU and it looks like the young women are social and friendly from this - just one little video but maybe it gives you a little feeling. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fis5ftWgVM0&fbclid=IwAR1ZUrKUdNf-nMQ0G2TdbQBSlraXhdGah-7sIBdfJaefzHZQRzmpaOAb76I
@vamom4 Sorry parent here with a 2017 grad, athletic student (boy) who did not play varsity sports in college, but was a varsity soccer player in high school. He found plenty of friends and dates at Case who were not at all nerdy. The nursing students, business students, and fraternity/sorority type kids can find their tribe at Case.
Case has had a pretty substantial Division 3 sports program
in many sports. Sporty students are not socially awkward so much. Also Case has an active Greek life.
We know a senior at Case, sorority member, has a good social life.

Sororities are low pressure but social, and service oriented. Girls can live in the sorority house or off campus
or in a dorm and still be part of the social life at a sorority.
Here is the latest recruitment video.

My daughter is a third year Nursing and Dance Major. She is in a sorority. Danced on the dance team, has a job near campus. She feels accepted and found her tribe. She came to Case open minded. She’s there for the excellent nursing program. She has friends that she has vacationed with, have visited us in California, gone to concerts and comedy shows with.
I don’t understand how the perceived social climate at any school can affect anyone’s learning.
@wildcatmom16 The social climate of a school can definitely affect a student and therefore, affect their learning. I know of several students who ended up transferring from one school to another that was a better fit.
For example, one friend’s daughter lasted only one semester at a large school with lots of schools-spirited partiers, before transferring to a very small school that was more peaceful.
Someone else I know had a daughter at another school, and she found people to be friends with, but found that nobody she met ever wanted to go out and do anything, so after a year, she transferred to a different school.
So, yes, finding a good fit, across many different factors, is important.
Am a current case student - thats an old stereotype of Case, no longer accurate of the school body. Finding friends at Case was easy because so many people are outgoing and friendly.
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
Let’s move back to discussing Case rather than trying to parse the reasons for questions. Thanks.
My daughter is a junior at Case, and she has met a great group of friends. They have traveled to each other’s homes over breaks and are constantly taking advantage of the speakers and events offered on campus at Case and in greater Cleveland area. They seem to be a really authentic group of friends that have bonded over their various interest in social justice issues, the arts, campus clubs, and just making the most out of each day. I marvel at how many wonderful experiences my daughter has had compared to my own over-reliance on campus parties and cheering at DI sports events at a large state university I attended. In my view, her experience at Case has been much richer than mine. We have met quite a number of her her friends and find them to be socially adept, excellent communicators, self-motivated with a solid, mature outlook on life and their goals for the future. Just a wonderful group of people and a fantastic support group for life after college.
Any one help to understand what is Greek Housing and non-Greek housing at CWRU?
DOES CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY HAVE GREEK HOUSING?
Housing arrangements for each fraternity and sorority at CWRU may differ by organization. Arrangements vary from chapters owning their houses to living in groups in the residence halls. Chapters with houses commonly run their own meal plan with a caterer to prepare meals. In general, fraternal living is often times less expensive than non-Greek living costs. Average room charges are $3,133 for men’s groups and $3,116 for women’s groups per semester. CWRU recognizes Greek housing as official University housing; therefore, financial aid is not affected. Students must have two semester of on-campus living experiences, or sophomore standing, before they are eligible to move into a chapter house.
