A double shot of danger : Risk of death and rape both go up when women drink too much

<p>There's not dictating of morality - just an agreement like any of a half dozen other agreements that students (who are MINORS before the age of 21) are expected to sign along with their parents. </p>

<p>But I think it is perfectly fine for students/parents who are uncomfortable with such an arrangement to choose a different college; I see nothing wrong with that at all. Similarly with a rule to put alcohol/drug infractions on transcripts - it's a free market, and you can choose what you like.</p>

<p>they can't legally drink in the US until they are 21 ( although they can drink if 19 in canada and you used to be able to drink at 19 in Idaho I don't know about other states)
but they can get married ( actually in many states they can do some of these things when they are 16)
join the military & kill or be killed
buy a house or a car
be responsible for their own debts
vote
buy many types of guns and ammo
be tried as an adult
as far as I can tell the only thing that is reserved for "minors" who are 18 and aren't yet 21 is buying alcohol</p>
