A few FSSP questions.

1) do we find out who our roomates are/how to contact them prior to FSSP?
2) about when do we find out what our fin aid is for the summer?
3) when do they send the whole registration packet (with the classes offered)?

Thanks.

I’m taking Transitions summer for transfers… but it should be the same.

I was told that we would receieve housing info/roomate assignments in early June. So we will be able to contact them through email.

!!!

That’s so exciting! So basically after I graduate (6/6) I’ll know who my roommate is!

errr you will be able to contact them over the phone. they give you your roommate’s name and phone number, not email. then of course you facebook stalk them.

"then of course you facebook stalk them. "

^If you have a facebook, that is.

@imgoing2college,

True, but everyone coming into UCSB should have a Facebook. See this article: [Gaucho Insider | Get a Facebook](http://gauchoinsider.com/articles/13)

so random question about roommates- do they use the fall quarter housing questionnaire to match up fssp roommates? what if i want to request someone for fall quarter, but they’re not doing fssp? how does that work?

I’m not sure…but this is my guess:

They use that same questionnaire to match you up with your FSSP roomie/s, and if your “requested person” doesn’t do FSSP, they just disregard that request for FSSP, then re-look into it when the actual year starts.

And are you coming to SB from Colorado? Wow, you’re gonna love it here!

@tr1p7s

When I applied for summer housing… it told me to put in an email that will be sent to my future roomate.

That must be new - even as recently as last summer, all we got was a first name and a phone number. I’m pretty sure I remember calling and then asking for my FSSP roommate’s e-mail address.

Facebook stalking SOP involved going through the Class of 2012 group, looking for the first name, and matching the area code to the person’s network. Wow… I sound almost as creepy as I do in real life.
