If we selected the 2 nights in the preview orientation payment, does that mean we're allowed to come stay at UF the night before orientation, and then the night of day 1? (Leaving of course after 5pm day 2?)

I keep seeing "only if you've made prior reservations" on the website to stay at Broward, however, I was wondering if selecting the 2 nights served as that.

Where do we find the online assessment? I've read that we're supposed to take a math assessment online prior to preview, but I can't find it. Should I still take it if I know I want to start with College Algebra? (Is this recommended? I'm comfortable with mathematics up to Calculus 1, but would it be worth starting from the basics? I want to major in Biology (Pre-Med).

2: The assessment is on your ISIS (isis.ufl.edu) in the “Placement” category on the left. I think you should still take it so the college gets an idea of how much you know. And I found College Algebra to be kinda pointless since I already knew the stuff. It’s up to you, if you feel like you need the refresher course or not.

Preview is only a one night stay at Broward dorm. I think if there’s some sort of hardship you can stay both nights, you might have to pay extra though. I’d personally just stay in a hotel.

Thanks Zaersz. So I think I’m O.K then, because in my order confirmation I put down 2 nights and paid an extra fee. So, I should be fine to stay the night before preview, and day 1 then, right? Or, does that 2 day deal apply to day 1, and day 2?

I was hoping that by paying for the 2 days, I could do the day before, and day 1. I wasn’t able to call UF due to scheduling all of this relatively late, so I was hoping if someone here could confirm from similar experiences.

if you’re comfortable up to calculus, start in pre-calc, not college algebra. starting with the basics isn’t a good idea. its not worth risking a lower grade for a class you know most everything in already. you get cocky and bored.

I’ve got a question that goes along with what he asked. Does everyone have to take the math and chemistry assessment? From the instructions on the preview website, it seemed like only people in certain majors had to take it
