A Few Quick Questions

<p>I had a few quick questions for all of the current Rice students that have already gone through the process.</p>

<li><p>It seems like I saw somewhere that health insurance is required and that you can buy it through the college if you don’t already have some. About how much will this cost?</p></li>
<li><p>Do they require any additional shots or a health physical? (or is it the same as what we had to get in the public school system)</p></li>
<li><p>Also I will be leaving in about two weeks and will not get my mail or internet or telephone service. I will be out of town until the middle of July. So I was just wondering what important info Rice would be sending out during this time period. </p></li>

<p>I will be commercial fishing and will be in such a remote location that I will lack all modern conveniences. Just trying to take care of things before I have to leave. Thanks in advance.</p>

You'll be getting, if you haven't already, something called a roommate questionare. This is essential, and must be filled out in order for the o-week coordinators at your college to match you up with your future roomates. You'll also have to do an english composition exam (link on the previous site) at some point over the summer--dates will be announced later (you can also do it on-campus during O-Week but the online verson is easier).</p>
