A girl from Delhi needs help

Oh if you want business, then liberal arts colleges are out.

guys I am looking at a possible double major or even a minor (most probably a minor in business/finance/entrepreneurship/IR and major in engineering) do you have any suggestions in mind (not the top colleges but a good match for me) ??

I guess PURDUE…would be a good one or Illinois Institute of Technology…(correct me if I am wrong.)

I’m posting here for the first time =D

I guess everyone here is perfectly right. Purdue will be best for you. It’s not very selective and has a good ranking. However, what best works in your favor is that you don’t need financial aid. You could try out Rice or something as well!

Actually you really can get into a good uni primarily because you don’t financial aid.

GLuck =D

rice university is hella hard to get into.

Thanks for the advice. Rice is definitely not on my list (due to busy schedule of my Genie :P) … I am applying to Purdue !

Mustang - where are u studying ?

computer science at cal poly san luis obispo

@Priyanka- Okay maybe not Rice, but I think you should apply to all those good unis which don’t provide financial aid to international students!

@system - I did not mean to offend you. I actually like rice a lot , but its not worth applying there as i will not get in . Can you name few good universities that like international students and have a good engineering department ?

just freakin stick with purdue and you’ll be fine

Did you think of Carnegie Mellon? It doesn’t give any fin aid to internationals…but it’s got a strong engineering program. But again, you may need higher SAT scores…

Oh, and I saw someone mentioned Drexel too…it’s not a bad option, sply if you aren’t considering top rung universities…Drexel can be on your list.

Priyanka, where are you finally going?!

I am heading to University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. What about you people ?

Congrats!

I’m proud of you!

Too good… Seriously! :D

^^ In UMich with those (OPs) stats (unless, of course, she improved her scores) ? ** UNBELIEVABLE **!!!

EDIT: Yeah, I know it’s an old thread but I kinda stumbled on it and couldn’t resist commenting.

The OP is a fake. I asked my friends to find out. She/he was just a ■■■■■ :)

Ah pointless gravedigging.

Hey Im from india too.
I would say that your scores are pretty low. But that doesnt mean that I want to discourage you. Go for it. But I would be very selective in choosing my universities. Go for Drexel, Hofstra, etc. not MIT or something big like that. (thats what I did and i think I messed up=> emphasis on think) . All the best.

She got into Michigan apparently. And this was last year. Lol.

LOL I’m not buying it. Fakery. Ho hi nahi sakta!
