AP Calculus BC
AP Chem
AP Bio
World History Honors
Spanish 3 Honors

I think it’s a great schedule and I believe I can pass it with enjoying the classes as well. I find math an extremely fun subject as well as biology. Not so much chemistry but it’s not impossible for me.
Did you drop your English class since you last posted this? Less than a week ago.
If you did, it’s not a good schedule, IMO. Most colleges expect, if not require, English every year in high school.
Oh wait Shoot! My bad forgot to include that
Taking English 2 Honors Whoops.
Not a very good schedule. It’s got all the core subjects so that’s excellent, but it’s not balanced.
First: did you take Bio in the 8th grade, Chem in the 9th? If so, you should now take Physics honors or AP Physics 1.
If you haven’t taken Chemistry Honors, then you need to take that before AP Chem (it’s a Level 2 class, meaning it assumes you have 1 year of solid chem under your belt before you take it. It’s often taken Senior year and is considered one of the hardest AP’s.)
Second, you shouldn’t be taking 2 AP Sciences at the same time.
An alternative to taking AP Physics 1 (AP Bio jr year, AP Chem sr year?) would be to take Physics Honors and add AP Bio.
Any chance you could take AP World History instead of World History Honors? it’d push you in terms of reading/writing and would be a good gateway course in case you intend to take AP English Lang or APUSH. However, it may not be possible, ie., you weren’t recommended for APWH or your school may not offer APWH! Those would be good reasons.
However, a bad reason would be that you feel your strength is STEM and don’t want to push yourself too much in English/History, and that would be detrimental because colleges don’t want to see “pre-specialists”, competitive universities expect you to have a rigorous schedule in all 5 subjects.
I took Bio H & Chem H in the same year and it was really easy. I don’t know why more people don’t do it tbh. I want to take English Lang AP and APUSH most likely. But I really don’t want to take AP world. The teacher is the so bad in our school it’s just not worth it. I might end up with like 4 Cs considering how the only ppl who got A’s and they are all really smart studied for like 2 hours a day. I’ll probably take AP Physics C in 11th grade since theres no point of taking A considering my skill. Also, I really don’t want to skip a year in taking AP Bio/Chem I would forget all my fundamentals TBH and flunk the class!
Taking 2 honors science classes together is a whole different kettle of fish from taking two AP sciences together. One is reasonable if you’re strong in science, the other is ridiculously hard (hours for class+lab, quantity and complexity of hw) to the point some HS don’t allow it.
APWH is different from Ap Chem in that respegt (just a more intense version of honors, not a 2nd level course) and you should always choose the best teacher, so if WH honors has the better teacher that’s the right choice.
In terms of sequencing, you could indeed take AP Chem next year if you’re ready to suffer. But AP Physics C is, like AP Chem, a second level class, so it assumes you’ve taken physics before - could be physics honors if you wish to cover a broader range of topics than in Physics 1, with the idea you’d go in-depth the following year with Physics C.
What’s your math sequence? Does your school offer MVC and/or dual enrollment math?
One of my friends older brother told me AP chem is not that hard and he isn’t a genius. At my school he just said it was a bit of work. Honestly, for AP physics C I literally thought the same thing but when I went to the seminar for all the ap classes next year and all the info. The physics teacher said about 30-40% of students are taking AP physics C as their first physics course and they do usually good and get A’s, and yes my calculus teacher does over MVC in 11th grade & Dual Enrollment. Which I could do but depends on whether I’m dedicated and have the time for Dual Enrollment. I do agree AP BIO with AP chem will be hard but my friend took it freshman year(Taking bio H in summer) and he said it was really easy, only 30m-1hr of HW and sometimes they have some labs which are difficult. I enjoy chemistry and from honors chem it was just mostly half math and half concepts. I have one really good AP chem teacher which I really hope to get next yr and one ok AP chem teacher who doesn’t assign any HW but doesn’t teach very well. Also I’ve just sort of become intensely bored to post on CC for no reason other than y not
For what it’s worth, we got the same response as my S23 is taking AP Bio and AP Chem simultaneously. It really really depends on the teachers. I know at least one of his is an easy teacher. The AP exams may be killer, but the coursework can be doable depending on the teacher. My S may not take both exams.
