A- in Community College Course... Hurts my admission chances?

Hi,

I am a rising HS senior, and I have been taking community college courses over the last couple months, but for one of the courses, I received an A-. That is to say, that my community college GPA is not a 4.0 anymore, though it is still above 3.9.

My high school does not offer dual enrollment so this would not affect my HS GPA. My HS GPA is a 4.0 with considerable rigor (my HS does letter grades with no +/-) and I am worried that my one single A- in the community college course would hurt my admission chances.

Since my HS requires that I submit all transcripts of outside institutions, I have no choice to not submit them to colleges.

It would be great if anyone could offer me some insight. Thanks!

You’re kidding, right?

No, it will not hurt your chances.

It isn’t your HS that requires you to send your CC transcript, it is the college that you are applying.

No.

I was not kidding… I guess 3 months of quarantine, watching too many stats videos, and the typical HS student hypersensitivity may have thrown off my common sense.

Thanks for the help! :)))
