Will it look bad to colleges if my only A- (90-91) are in Precalc Honors, and AP Chem if I am planning on going into stem (pre-med) in college? All my other grades are 95+ but I just can’t seem to get these grades up! Also does anyone have any tips on how to deal with a hard precalculus class/hard teacher? I do all the homework, take notes, ask questions… but I just can’t seem to get above a 90 on any of my tests. Overall it is just EXTREMELY frustrating, because math has never been a huge issue for me. Is a tutor a good investment?
From what I hear, AP Chemistry is one of the hardest AP classes. An A- is honestly not bad. As for Precalc, use resources online like Khan Academy. Math is not inherently difficult, you just need to do a lot of practice problems. Which topics are you struggling with?
Also, I don’t think this will have a huge negative impact on you. Try your best and finish the year strong but a couple of A- grades aren’t going to kill your application.
