a legit << Will I get rescinded? >> thread

My GPA at admission was basically a 4.0.

Now for 2nd semester in senior year I think I will have A+, A, A-, B+, B, B

Unlike the troll in the previous thread, I'm actually scared. Maybe I'm just getting paranoid??

To the students out there: did you actually keep your assumed-4.0 averages through the end of high school?

What did you get your B’s in? If they are not math/science classes I wouldn’t worry too much. The best advice to ease your mind is to call or e-mail admissions and ask them. They will see your grades eventually. Better yet, you still have a couple of months to try to improve on those grades.

Try to keep your grades up, nevertheless, I wouldn’t worry too much if those subjects arent ‘core’ courses that Caltech puts a lot of weight on… you’d have to be someone very capable to get into Caltech, so keeping your grades up wont be a problem :)

I kept by 4.0 my senior year, but that’s besides the point. You’ll be fine. Don’t worry about it.

Heh. You pretty much need to fail all your classes to get your offer rescinded. Getting a B is not going to get you rescinded.
