A letter from Deerfield

i didn't get a postcard, but then again, my interview was a bit later on.

RingTingTing, tell me about the " Ten Schools communication blackout". what is it? where does it sa

I actually got 3. One from the math department, one from the science, and one from soccer. I told them i was competetive in all of these things. They said they would like for me to do ...... such and such involving those things at the school

All I can tell you about it is what I've heard from various posts on CC - I just spent a little while searching the interwebs for it but I couldn't find anything. From what I hear, the Ten Schools Admission Organization prohibits its member schools from advertising or potentially swaying any of their applicants in the month before decisions through voluntary contact, i.e. mailing applicants about available athletic programs.

I see. To everyone that received those letters, can I ask if they were signed with pen or just printed?

I'd got the exactly the same thing you did leesh1995, and I'd also received the Music interest form either. I don't think it's a bad sign ,,,,, It was signed with pen. I hope I have a good chance for Deerfield because I'd received a handwritten postcard from the interviewer i'd met!

I received the Music letter TODAY.

Hyeonhoy... no... that doesn't mean anything...

I think it's better than getting Nothing from the schools.,,"^"^"

If you checked off particular interests online or on any candidate info sheet, that's why the letters were sent to you.

They have no bearing on admissions.
