A-levels

Any Etonians in this string?

Any Etonian rackets players?

Thanks :)

Well done to you too! Especially with the Oxford offer! I was going to apply to Cambridge, but in the end I decided the course was quite boring (for me anyway as I prefer modern stuff). I doubt I would have gotten in anyway.

Cardiff is such a great city (although I think I'm letting the fact that it has the millennium stadium influence me a bit too much!) and I would love to spend three years there. And the course looks really good too. But I also want a year abroad, which they don't offer so I'll have trouble deciding! I know what you mean about Warwick...Coventry isn't the nicest of places from what I've heard.

What US unis have you applied to? How much is it going to be costing you? The price really put me off

squidgey : Well done on Oxford. Someone in my year got into Oxford but got rejected by UCLA...mmm...Good luck on american colleges to you too. Which American colleges are you applying to??

London_girl : Have you thought about doing a masters abroad??

Actually I was orginally thinking of applying to the Law programmes offering double degrees with French Universities, but I decided to drop French at A2 so couldnt apply. Does anyone know how competitive the JD/LLB programmes LSE, UCL n KCL offer with Columbia are?? I know they only accept a handful of people every year, but how many people actually apply??

Tbh, I'm not sure if I really want to do a masters, and if I did it would be so expensive abroad. If I go into journalism i'll have to do a post-grad diploma somewhere. Ideally I'd love to go to Columbia in New York to do that, but then I saw the cost of it and there's no chance!

What about scholarships?? A lot of US universities are big on finanical aid

UCL law has a higher ranking than LSE law. And columbia only takes 1 or two applicants from the University of London colleges. it is highly competitive!

I thought they take 2 or 3 from each London college. What I was wondering is how many people actually apply each year. How popular is the programme because I wouldnt think that everyone finds spending two years in New York attractive?

I have done A2 Math, A2 Accounts, A2 Business, A2 Economics, AS General, applied to the top canadian universities for business program, got into all, and going to McGill..!!

HK8- Just wondering why are u dropping A2 Further maths?
