I wish I never took this class. I feel like I did not learn anything, and I got a B+. It seemed like in the discussions the TA was just trying to find stuff to do to fill time, and I couldn’t understand what my TA was saying because of her accent.

^ Who did you have?

Hsing an

^ Lol. I really liked her. I say we maybe got the better of evils. I mean, Lana gave her kids quizzes… 0.0 … But then again, my “regraded essays” all got B+, despite being told earlier that they were A-. D:

I didn’t care about learning, I just wanted an easy A to buffer my grades. Turns out I seriously need that buffer, and I didn’t get an A. (B+ for class)

I’m thinking about taking this class next year. Should I or not? I heard it’s an easy a but i guess not anymore? My friend said it was really fun.

Silvercross- Yeah, she was nice but I guess I feel biased now because I am just annoyed with my essay grades and the low grade I got in the class. And I feel mad she graded my essays so harshly because she hardly could type proper English in the emails she sent out and all the typos in her notes in-class were horrendous. And in one class we watched Mr. Bean youtube videos the entire time. I’m not complaining about having to watch the Mr. Bean videos…but seriously!!!

It’s definitely an easy A but you have to make sure you don’t **** up on the midterm and final so you can avoid the problems that might come with your section participation grade. Extra credit helps too.

We are all lamenting at Professor Winter’s class. I’ve heard that another professor teaches the class, but Winter is supposedly the guy who created the course. He said that he will be going on sabbatical for a year, which means he won’t be back until Winter 2011. If you want to wait until then, I would still be iffy about the class. From what I’ve heard and experienced, the class is no longer an easy “A” but if you are willing to take in what he says and put in effort, an “A” is definitely within your grasp.

I’m a south campus kind of guy, someone who likes definite answers to everything. I showed up to class with my laptop, took notes, and left, something Winter advised us at the beginning of the quarter not to do if you want an “A” in his class. Winter offered many chances for extra credit but I never did any. I ended up with an A-.

Hated that class and the grading system (I had Israel and Khori as a TA). Had to work my butt off because of Khori…

i got an A in the class, and was on facebook all the time during lecture. You should be fine if you at least attend the reviews the day before the midterm and final… I mean that’s all i did. i got a B+ on all of the critiques… and totally BSed the wdydwyd. but i got an A on the midterm and an A- on the final. the class is not hard… just be willing to dedicate two hours of studying before the midterm and final. oh, and i did the extra credit. i would have ended up with an A-…but i still would not be complaining. A’s are pretty.
