A little confused about sending SAT scores..

So I took the SAT last June and did not do so well. I already signed up for the October SAT... However, I'm confused as to how I'm going to send my SAT score to the colleges I'm applying to? Is it a requirement that I send my score directly from the test center this October? Is it bad that I didn't send my SAT score last June from the test center even though I didn't do so well anyway? What's the deal!!? Any help is much appreciated.

It’ll depend on the college for both of your questions.

An easy way to figure out when the score report needs to be there is to go to collegeboard under “Colleges” and the college will have something like

SAT Reasoning/ACT score report due by: 01-JAN

under the SAT / ACT section. So you likely won’t need to send scores when you take the test.

However, some colleges require you to report all scores anyway, so you may as well just send the scores with the test.

Which colleges allow you to pick and choose scores:

Does that answer everything?
