A little (reassuring) advice?

Hello! I am a high school senior who, as my username would suggest, is quite nervous about college and scholarships. I am an African American male, I have a weighted GPA of about 4.71 (unweighted 4.0), I am currently number 6 in my class, I am a National Achievement Scholar and National Merit Commended (score of 217), and I made a 2110 on my SAT (1330 combined Math and C.R.). People have always told me that colleges would bat down my door to give me scholarships, but I have never been one to rest confidently on expectation alone. So, I was wondering, what is my chance really of getting scolarships (preferably full ride), or even getting in for that matter? I am interested in majoring in English (with the aspiration of becoming an English professor), and have been looking at UT, UNT, St. Joseph's College in NYC, an really anywhere else that I have a shot. Thanks!

Wow. You’re very qualified for those schools. All are safeties. Take a shot at a couple Top 20 universities.
