My app (incl. recs) is filled with ECs in business - this is my true passion - but should I focus on something else in the essay, or keep enhancing my passion for business?

I can either write something about how running companies has changed me and how it shows who I am on a kind of professional level, or I can write something more "random", like how I got lost in the fog with a japanese stranger or how my mom drove over my foot twice in a row and how I adapted to that situation.

What do you guys think?

Ideally you would write three essays and see which provides the greatest insight into who you are, but since no one likes doing more work than absolutely necessary (myself included) you should consider writing brief outlines–brainstorming sessions, per se–and seeing which topic fleshes out the most illustrative detail. Usually the topic you can write about most colorfully and specifically ends up being your strongest paper.

If you write about how running companies has changed you, you need to be very careful to not descend into triteness and cliches. The other two seem to enable much more creative freedom, and if you can somehow draw a parallel between either them and running a company, all the better. Personally I find the last two more interesting than the first.

Thanks for the great input augustus1!

I actually think I can draw a parallel to business in both those essays - good idea! I am finished with the draft on one of them, and working on another at the moment.
