A&M Vs. Case Western Vs. Miami-Ohio Vs. Bentley, Please help

I have been accepted by these four and have a hard time to decide. I am in Texas, A&M is very affordable. Other 3 all gave me scholarship but would still be a few K more, not really a big deal. By the way, I was accepted to business schools by all 4.

Any input is highly appreciated

Have you visited and/or talked to current students? The prevailing culture at each of these schools seems to be very different.

Don't know about A & M or Bentley, but Miami of Ohio is noted for being white preppie and it's in a very small college town. But a pretty campus!

From Miami's web site:

[quote]
Diversity: Multicultural students make up 8.1 percent of the first-year class and 7.9 percent of the undergraduate student body (based on Fall 2006 enrollment).

Case Western is in a large city and is quite diverse. For example, of the 5 kids in my son's HS who went to Case this year, only one is WASP! Others are Chinese, Indian, Jewish, & mixed. It's a great student body, IMO.

buckhorn, since you are from TX, I'll leave A&M out of this, other than to say I don't recall the business program appearing in the top 50 lists.

Case is far more academically focused than Bentley and MiamiU IMO.

I will agree with what WS17 said about Case, and mention that Miami is noted, both on campus and by the townspeople, for a drinking "problem" as there seems to be little else to do there. Just the other day, sadly, a girl was run over by a train at night. Her BAC was well above legal and she was underage. We see other stories in the paper often--not deaths but problems where the police have to be called in.

Not saying all the students drink but that seems to be a large part of the culture.

I think a lot of Ohio students at Case chose between MiamiU and Case.

Miami has a beautiful campus with colonial architecture and amazing landscaping. But it is remotely located in a small town. Our lasting memory from visiting there is seeing the long rows of beer cans and beer bottles lined up on the frat house porches.

I think the academic profile of the Miami student body is higher than Bentley's.

I don't know about A&M or Bently, but I am partial to Miami. Overall the students seem happier and less tightly-wound than Case, while still maintaining solid academics. I also preferred the college town feel to the place over the Case's setting. Of course, that's just my very random impression, and probably not worth much.
