<p>what i meant by economic status was that you are pretty well off since your dad, a phd proffessor taught you. that gives u a huge advantage as far as academics go. so academically you are not special. the harvard committee would expect more from u. you have to think that their ranking in the us news would be at stake if they accepted u. why? because SATs are really important in the us rankings. the committee would probably think that u are just another girl w/ so many opportunities</p>

<p>I think you have an excellent chance at transfering to Harvard. I think that your extracurriculars really show some passion. I'm sure you've devoted a lot of your time to them. </p>
<p>Your only issue may be that you've taken quite a couple of easy classes - Did I just miss calc? :(. However, that shouldn't be too much of an issue since you're not doing a science/math heavy field. Your SATs are solid, 1400 is NOT bad, though its probably relatively average for schools of this caliber.</p>
<p>The fact your a polyglot(I've always wanted to use that word :)) is also a definite plus. Wow! I thought I was good for knowing my English, Chinese, and German.</p>

I was under the impression that 1400 was just run of the middle for Harvard. LOL it seems that at CC a 1400 is just considered an all around rather sub-par score, however. I'm hoping the Harvard ppl can see beyond my SAT score. </p>
<p>Jeez Purplechick, modeling is ridiculous and silly and I think it has no value whatsoever but it was something that I fell into that provided some disposable income and chances to travel. Simple as that. I'm not hanging my hat on it, I know the AdCom doesn't care what I look like, and I'm not stupid enough to think Harvard is some modeling school. Don't insult my intellegence or assume things about me or the classes I've taken. There's no need to be snide, it's not becoming. :) Now Ashlee Simpson...there's a jewel.
