Yes! So nice to take walks and also be grateful for the fall colors on the trees here.
I’m thankful to be in a lull in health crises for my parents. Enjoying the break while it lasts.
I’m also grateful that my D24 seems to have turned a bit of a corner with regard to some intense friend drama she’s been dealing with. It’s been hard to watch her in so much pain for the past few weeks.
Especially thankful for my very best girlfriend and our daily phone calls.
Just a fun one today.
I’m grateful H discovered through a teacher training ice breaker about Duolingo. He started learning Spanish, and I always wanted to try German, especially since we are going to Austria this Christmas. I’m grateful he pushed me to start. Today made 500 days in a row! I should finish the module in about 2 weeks +/-. By no means do I think I’m fluent, or even advanced, but I’ve learned so much! I can talk about all kinds of things. I just might not understand someone’s replies, lol.
I’m grateful to be alive - 5 year cancer survivor. I’m grateful for the health and happiness of my family. And I’m grateful for my wonderful old dog, who against all odds is still here at my feet waiting for a walk.
I’m thankful for my H. He is always spontaneously helping me in simple ways but meaningful. Like picking up the pup’s monthly med on his way home from work and swinging by grocery store. He always tries to make my life easier. He is pretty special. I am very thankful.
I’m thankful for my lovely neighbors who have become a wonderful support system.
I’m thankful to have relaxing days where I can wake up and decide what I want to do (for the most part) based upon what I want to do instead of what must be done. I’m no fan of the rat race.
I’m also thankful we have an upcoming month full of visiting our kids, which means a lot of game playing - more stress relief.
All of this is happening when I need stress relief.
I’m grateful to still have high moments, motivation and new thoughts and ideas in my professional life even “late in the game”.
And piggy-backing on that, after a meeting with our hospital NICU team, I am grateful to skilled health care workers who do SO much for families in their greatest time of need for their littlest family members
I am waiting for the results of an X-ray on my foot. I may have broken a bone on the top/middle/side. GD jumped on me almost two weeks ago. It never swelled & it doesn’t hurt to walk on. But it’s started to bother me, and I think it’s broken. So what am I grateful for? I have insurance, so I can deal with. I have a high deductible plan, so I will have to pay for everything, since we haven’t met the deductible. I can afford the costs, even if it ends up being a surgical situation. There is a silver lining in my cloud. Update: Not broken. Extra grateful!
I am going to try to post to this every day in November (so bear with me).
Day 2: Today I am grateful for:
A super mild and sunny day. Feels more like June than November.
The most glorious fall foliage season I can ever remember around here. Truly spectacular.
Working at a place with a fitness center and the opportunity to play lunchtime pickleball - often the highlight of my work week!
Everyone is VERY welcome to post daily or whenever the moment seems right!
I’m thankful that estimate for new water heater came in well below the “ballpark” number that I had plumber give me last week and in speaking with project planner who came to give estimate, I mentioned I was an educator and he gave me 5% teacher discount.
Thankful to celebrate another trip around the sun without major health concerns.
Grateful to have a husband that I enjoy spending time with.
I’m grateful for the amazing weather we are having.
I’m grateful for my upcoming vacation.
Wished I had done the duolingo though, what a great idea!
I’m grateful that all of my “problems” are of the first world variety.
I’m grateful for the friendships I have, and the support of friends, including both IRL and internet friends.
I’m grateful for a wonderful and supportive spouse, two mostly happy kids who enjoy visiting us when they can and are joining us soon, a mostly happy mom who still knows who H and I are.
I’m also grateful that we can get estimates and are planning to have ductless central A/C installed in the near future. We may also get some more PV panels installed to help keep the electric bill down. Having A/C will make D and S more comfortable visiting us, which is something that makes us all happy.
I’m also grateful that S has a fiancée that he loves and that she helps him be more social.
This morning I’m thankful that my neighbor needed a favor and asked me to walk her dog at 7am. As the sky started to brighten, I realized I would be able to see the sunrise over the bay. Not the best one I’ve ever seen, but it was the perfect way to start my day. I’m also thankful I live in a neighborhood where I have this opportunity!
Love this.
I have a couple of friends who are avid readers and at the end of every month they post the books they read during the month and give them a 1-5 star review. I’m grateful for this and always look forward to these postings because it has helped me find some really good books to read myself!
I was grateful to my H this morning. I turned off my alarm and unintentionally fell back asleep. H got me up when he did 30 min later, but it was still enough time to get my butt out of the door and complete my workout.
