A Moral Dilemma

If someone does something awful to you or a loved one, is it justifiable to do it to them (an eye for an eye)?

Or is it still morally wrong?

Depends. Sounds to me like the person is getting revenge, rather than serving justice, so yes, morally wrong.

Depends.

Case A:
Your besty was killed in a car accident. Do you then go and try to kill the person who accidentally kill your friend?

No.

Case B:
Someone killed your besty in purpose. Do you then kill the murderer?

No. Bring the case to the court and make sure the convicted will be sentenced to a life-time thingy.

“An eye for an eye makes the world go blind” - Gandhi

Yes

Death Penalty when its like a serial killer

Depends on a lot of variables. There is no blanket answer. Debating morality is pointless :p

Never okay. Vigilante justice doesn’t work*. Do your best to let the legal system to its thing or just bide your time, don’t take matters into your own hand.

*Unless you are Batman.

Hammurabi’s code would never work in such a controversial society. Lol.
^^^^By the way, did you just say besty? Ew. xD

yep. I want to say ‘mate’, but that’s too Australian lol. :D

No. Not as an individual. The government is supposed to punish wrongdoers.

“Debating morality is pointless” is a verrrrrry false statement in the eyes of a Republican.

^Well we don’t actually know who’s republican unless they make it known.

No.

Man, these are easy.

hamurabi’s law is arcane and i don’t think it’s morally correct to get “eye for an eye”. what you should do is confront this person and mediate your situation like gentlemen
