Another question. My son just heard back from the coach of another school (not Penn) who asked for official transcripts and test scores. At the start of the summer, my son sent the coach an unofficial transcript and self-reported scores. I know my son’s counselor can send an official copy of his transcript directly to the coach but how does one send “official” test scores to the coach? The admissions office should have the scores because we requested they be sent from the testing service. Is there another way to sent official test scores to the coach, or can my son just tell the coach the admissions office ought to have them? Thanks.

Waiting not so patiently here to hear back from an Ivy coach…

Epeemom, good luck and I hope it’s good news! I guess September is the month when coaches make decisions. We asked outright about my son’s recruitment chances at Penn, and to his credit, the coach was frank. The outcome was not a surprise, and also not particularly a concern since my son will have other things in his favor.

Thank you PennAlumParent. The same to you and your son. Our kids have probably fenced eachother before, though it’s a large field in Men’s Epee…

PennAlumParent, Sometimes a screen shot from the collegeboard site is what they coachs are looking for when they ask for official SAT scores. Good luck!

As I recall a coach requested copies of scores to gives the admissions office before they could approve an OV, and they accepted a photocopy of the paper report that comes in the mail.
