a nice riddle.......

hey, it's purely for fun....
i got a riddle on my email today and solved it in under 2 minutes - lets see how you do!

in the next sequence, what would be the 6th number?

1 , 2 , 6 , 42 , 1806 , ???

3,263,442

20 seconds!

nice..... can i give the i'm tired excuse? it is midnight here.......... :-P

I looked at jpd8891's answer and thought "WHAT?!" but then I saw it. I'm a bit rubbish at these things.

Izzy, are you in Europe? Trying to work out where you are, as it's 10pm here..

...I've been looking at it for seven minutes and I still don't get it. headdesk.

i think israel haha. not to be a creeper or anything.

but ya, no i gotcha. i love these things. totally valid.

and ya it's also sometimes weird to think of how we're all from all around the world. like it's 6pm here, almost dinnertime haha. and it's 10pm for portugueseninja, midnight for izzy1988. crazyyyyy.

i'm from israel. think new york time +7 hours.....
and lookbeyond - look harder. it took me a minute to start cracking it at 10:30 pm.....

WOOPS WON'T POST HOW TO DO IT YET! sorry haha.

btw, think how hard it will be for me when results will be available online - i won't sleep all night!!!

yugh!! hey izzy1988, how old are you? did you go in the army? i went to israel a couple summers ago with my overnight camp and lovedddd it.

i'll be 21 in march 22nd

oh and yes, i did go to the army

I love these seq. questions.

So, did you get to use the Tavor? I heard that was replacing the m4/Uzi.

Are you a girl?

high five for international older-than-normal-student-age US college applicants!

I thought that Israel would be further ahead than two hours.. weird. I've always wanted to go there, what's it like? I know it's presented on TV as a horrible war filled place with army people and terrorists everywhere.. but I tend not to trust the news.

no the Tavor is a purely fighter's weapon.
i was trained on m16 and handled a Galil one time.
i am proud to say i am a good shooter and can take apart a m16 in under a minute (last time we were allowed to do that!!!)

yeah i'm a girl.
and no, Israel is pretty calm except a few places that get missile attackes in the south.
2006 was harder though with the northern war we had. alarms woke me up every morning at 7:15-7:30 and there was this day with 7 alarms in 3-4 hours, and my grandmother had like 20-30 alarms per day.

^ I have a friend in the IDF now, and she mentioned none of the girls were getting the Tavor....oh well.

I can work through an AK(technically a WASR...lol. The variants are pretty close), in about 40sec. But then again, it's only got like....9 things to do. (I've seen the bolt carrier assembly on ARs....lol, I would leave something out when putting it back together.)

That's cool though, a Galil!
I don't think that's available for export to the U.S. Sigh.

3,263,442, probably 15-20 seconds.

Though an answer of 8661 should also be permissible, because if f(x) = 1667/24 x^4 - 2759/4 x^3 + 57685/24 x^2 - 13693/4 x + 1641, then f(1) = 1, f(2) = 2, f(3) = 6, f(4) = 42, f(5) = 1806, and f(6)=8661. ;)

Sorry for all the mess; my brain just exploded.
