Do you know what percentage of IB uhh partakers? actually receive that diploma? That totally sucks though! Do you have to pass all of them to get your diploma?

Ahhh CC is slowly killing me. Ok time to leave too. I’m on east coast time as well, almost 3! I hope this thread doesn’t die, well ill just try and bring it back tommorow (or today) anyway.

Night everyone! [=

I imagine that the percentage could be found on the official website: ibo.org, but I’m willing to bet that that percentage is lower for my school considering how many IB candidates at my school are into the drug/party scene.

Edit: All right, night to big dreamer & smilemyonly! I hope to see you tomorrow.

Up till this year, my coaches made me play MB. It sucked though, because I knew that I was definitely NOT getting any taller (5’8") and I had to switch to OH sometime. So now I’m working on my fours/threes, even though I’m more comfortable with ones :P

Gotta work on my defense though. OH’s don’t get a nice libero like MB’s do :]

EDIT: If this seems completely random, it is.

Kidding. I’m replying to rchhay’s other post. I just wanted to do it in a jacked thread.

Definitely not, I’m jealous of MB’s because of that. That, and they’re usually quite a good bit taller than me. But, our defense is probably better than our offense so that’s not too bad.

Yay for jacked threads.

Jacked threads! Woot woot! Ill get back here when I’m done taking my nap! [=

Okay, I’ll look for this thread again. =P I’m going to the library now…

Woot, time to resurrect the jacked thread!

smilemyonly, what it do? How you hangin’?

=O hey there.

Edit:
@ Smile: I looked at IBO’s website and 80% or so receive their diplomas after testing, but it seems more like 50% at my school…

Hey there again everyone! [=

So what’s everyone up too? I’m watching a marathon of that 70s show on dvd!

I’m on Facebook, and I’m listening to random music on my iPod. =P

Ohhh that’s still pretty good though. Ill definately check that site out when I get back home (blackberry on vacation!). I think I like APs better though!

Hey rchhay &smilemyonly! My bro loves That 70s Show haha, he’d probably enjoy that! Did you guys ahve boring days? I’m listening to random music on youtube & getting prepped for tomorrow! Well, CC is my thing right now lol…;)

Eh, it’s actually not that great when you think about the fact that a lot of people also drop out of the IB program because it’s too difficult before they sit for the exams… xD. I think that the international programs (esp. in places like Korea) boost that percentage considerably.

I had a so-so day. Went to the library, but besides that not much.

I went hiking today! Not a very smart idea when you’re wearinf flip flops! But fun nonetheless beautiful views! I miss my house though. And my phone is so slow loading CC!

I had a good day, but weather was pretty dreadful. Overcast with bad rainstorm, mid 60s today. Def a cold summer day in the mountains. Rchhay, what did you check out/read at the library? Was it related to school or for leisure (just curious…must keep threaad alive).

@smilemyonly: Ha, great arch support, eh? Flip flops ftw on hiking trips lol!
At least the weather was pleasant for you, and great views are always
worth the trouble (even if sacrificing feet hehe).

Ooh, hiking sounds fun. I might do that this week, depending on how plans work out. But, yeah, definitely not a good idea wearing flip flops…

Hm… I assume someone here has already taken both biology and chemistry? If anyone has input on how difficult those classes were, that would be great… I’d rather not make a thread and have all the genius CC’ers come in and tell me, “Oh, they were the easiest classes ever. Duh.” :P

Oh, didn’t RF for your post… Yeah, SoCal weather is HOT. If it was mid 60’s, I would expect it to be the middle of winter and I would have been bundled up… Haha.

I actually volunteered and didn’t bother to check out anything. I still have tons on my reading list… All Shakespeare’s plays, Jane Austen, Tess of the D’Urbervilles. Although, remarkably, I don’t have any assigned summer reading, I just do tons of reading on my own. =P & I’m also hoping that by reading more of some of the classics that’ll put me in a better spot for the academic team captain…

I took biology frashman year and chemistry last year (sophomore year). They were reg level because that was the highest level offerred at the time, and they really were not hard. But my old school (where I took bio) was way easier than my new school (where I took chemistry), so I’m not the best example I guess.

I’m a sciency person, so I excel in those classes. My chem class moved slower than what I would ahve preferred, but only 7-8 kids in my grade could handle an acclerated course (out of 32 kids). So, we were forced to go at a slower pace, making the class easy for us. Mainly tedious boring HW (like 10-30 minutes max), and about 1.5 hours studying for tests. I didn’t really sweat it, but your school could be way different.

I’m taking AP Chemistry in the fall, so I’m not sure if you were talking about AP Bio vs. AP Chem, so I could be ranting lol. I don’t want to sound pretentious, but my…errr…“smart” friends knew that the class was easier than it could be. I loved both classes, and had some good times…;)

It’s great that you do so much reading on your own, very beneficial…I can’t do that lol! I can only read science-realated texts w/o someone asking me to do it. I just am more science than english/history type of guy…;)

I’m surprised that you have no assigned reading, what year are you? I have 4 books to read this summer, and one requires a 30 page report AP Chem is already a lot of work, as will AP Eng be. Good luck for academic team ] ; do you guys have to know a lil’ bit of everything?

Ha, yeah it gets cold here! Sometime 5-15 degrees with ice/snow! It’s really pretty when it snows, so I guess it’s worth it (plus snow days) . Shorts/t shirt would have been fine, but yesterday was gorgeous…followed by

I personally enjoyed bio more (I took regular and ap) but that’s because I was more interested in it. If your taking AP Bio its pretty much mostly memorization. I always hated chem, because I suck at math! I guess it really depends on your strengths and interests.

And big dreamer the past week weather has been the same as yours was! Today was the only okay day, hopefully tomorrow will be nice. I don’t like checking the weather forcast because it always lies! [=
