We actually don’t offer AP’s in bio or chem, so it will be honors for me… I’m not sure which one I will like better, but I might get the same teacher for both of them, and apparently she’s the nicest thing ever and doesn’t assign that much homework.

I’ve heard a lot about bio being mostly memorization, so I think I might like it better… Math is supposedly one of my strong points, but I don’t like it. ='P

^Weather forecasts are terrible because they depress you & lie! I could do that job now, just draw forecasts out of a hat…;)

I equally liked bio & chem, but bio moved better because we had more kids that were advanced I guess. I don’t think I’ll take AP Bio because only like 3-5 kids sign up a year, which doesn’t fill enough roster spots to hold the class. Will prob take AP Physics & AP Environmental Science senior year. Not many APs to choose from in super small schools…

BTW, bio was mainly memorization, but it was fun. Having a great teacher to conneect with, like I had, only makes it better! My chem teacher was fun as well (have good relationship w/ him because of Science Olympiad and Physics class), but work was pretty tedious. The math was basic algebra, but that gets boring after a while.

Wow, small classes for the win! My physics class last year had 8 kids as well…only 2 girls (seniors). Haha, that class was so fun, we just did random cool stuff at times. I’ll miss that class, as I geniunely enjoyed it. 2 seniors, 5 juniors, and 1 sophomore is a really strange class make-up, but it was sooo cool; I’ll stop ranting lol.

History/english is fine, but I like cutting-edge science. Like when I vacuumed, disinfected, rearranged mags, and scrubbed bathrooms at my free clinic…it was cutting-edge science. Haha, you’re the ying to my yang (or is it vice versa?). Ha, glad we’re FWB! :)

BTW, I’m going to log off early, maybe come back later. I’m a bit tired right now (eventful day), so night to mysmileonly & rchhay! :)

I’m a rising sophomore, but I think it would make sense for our school to give us some assigned reading over the summer. The 10th grade English teacher is notorious (even amongst other teachers) for assigning tons of homework during the school year, so it would be better if she at least let us get a head start… But the majority of people at my school are pretty lazy, so I’m guessing it’s more like they can’t trust us. x)

And, yes… for the academic team we have to know the craziest things. Although, mostly the coaches know that one student is really good in one subject, while one student is better at another topic and that’s usually how it plays out. I’m usually played as the lit./classics person and I’m probably one of two contenders for the captain position. The other person doesn’t have a specific focus, but is pretty strong in science & miscellaneous topics, but I think I still have a chance.

Night to you, big dreamer… :') I think I’ll stay up to do some reading. Haha.

Haha opposites attract! My breakup was 4 seniors 4 juniors 2 boys and girls in each grade. We married each other off! Haha. Small classes are pretty awesome I hope I have atleast 1 next year! Well I guess ill just ttyl dreamer!

Ooh, this last year all my classes had 18+ students. I sorely missed my 7 person math class from the year before, it was the best.

Most sophomore schedules don’t have small classes either, but in junior/senior year, a lot of the classes at my school have 10 or so people… I’m looking forward to that.

Opposites do attract, happened to mom+dad!!! I like small classes, which will occur more & more from now on. TTYlL, I promise myself that this is my last post right now…unless I get bored later ;)

I cannnot sleep! But yea small classes ftw! I doubt any of my classes will be small next year though my hs is huge. Ap bio is just the hardest course there. But I’m still crossing my fingers.

Ooh, I can’t sleep either but that’s because it’s 10:30. It’s 1:30 there for you, I think?

Yeah, I think my school is 1/3 the size of your school (550:1500?), so none of my classes are too big. I think the biggest might have been 30 students.

30?! That’s really big lol. I think the maximum class size is like 25, or atleast that’s the average. I guess we have a small student to teacher ratio. And yes it is 1:30 I should be getting some sleep.

^ Lol. I had one class last year, geometry, had 31 kids because there weren’t enough teachers. Also this past year my American Studeies class had 72 students, but this was split into two classes, (as it should be) and 36 kids were in each class.

All my clases are rather big though, it kinda sucks. Band obviously is around 103 students, and the rest are 25+. We need more teachers =( Yet everyone keeps getting fired and we are not hiring more…

And to show off my awesome science department, the average AP Physics grade is a 2… A 2! We Had two kids in the past three years get a 4 or a 5.

30 students was probably the maximum for our school. The math teacher was pretty unhappy that our class had to be so big, but I don’t think there was room in any of our schedule for her to break the class into two, so it stayed that way.

^You have insanely large classes. How big is your school’s population?

This thread is so nice. [= nice people, no ■■■■■■, no controversy. Very rare.

Anyway, hey dreamer! Ineeda go to bed in a few, too. I’m leaving for home tommorow early in the morning, I thought about staying up til the morning but figured I’d fall a sleep anyway.
