a non-boring story thread

Male v-ball is spring, so you’d only be really concerned if you were a female… =P

Which two sciences did you take together? I’m planning on going with bio and chem. because I took physics as a freshman.

Hmm… who votes dreamer has a crush on smiley? WHAT, YOU’RE GAY?!? jk.

Anyway… I don’t like sprinting. I like distance, honestly. And it doesn’t get boring if you’re pushing until you’re ready to trip on purpose so you don’t need to finish the race.

Anyway I took Chem and Bio this year with no free period and still maintained the 4.0

My school does not have male v-ball team, the coach got fired. (GOD ING * PRINCIPLE!) Don’t mind that… anyway

You guys got your schedules already? I only got my course list, I wanna see who I have classes with. Anyone here go to year round school btw? Always wanted to know how that worked

Big dreamer, rains pretty much falling this whole week it sucks! Hopefully I can hit that waterpark thursday before I leave. Today was pretty bad cloudy and gray and still drizzling now.

I get my sched. 8/31, a miserable 8 days before school starts. We don’t even get course lists, it’s ridiculous. Year-round school has about the same number of days, it’s just that instead of having a super long summer vacay it’s spread out through the year. For example, spring break might not be a week long, maybe it’s a month long.

Hi, oh don’t mind me smile. I was kidding about… that. Anyway. Umm… I don’t have my schedule, but it won’t change, I have gone over it like 50 times with my gc, changed it like 10 times already.

That sounds pretty awesome. Do you guys get fridays off? Or is that something else? And how long was your summer break? And are a lot of schools in your county like that?

Btw, dreamer and I are friends with benefits!

I don’t actually go to a year-round school, but about a 1/3 of my high school comes from one, so I know the schedule pretty well. As far as I know, they didn’t get Fridays off… Most of the schools in my county follow the traditional schedule, although the private schools give days off for just about everything and anything.

Oh that is good to know. I like friends with benefits.

Anyway So my “about” schedule is:

AP phys.
AP Calc.
AP English Comp.
AP World
Honors Spanish III
Band (blah, shush! I hate it!)
Genetics/ Psych

I am a rising junior, and you guys?

Man, my friends just called me ■■■■■■■■ for taking AP. ***?!?

Rising sophomore and the schedule I want is
English CL
Honors Precalc
Honors Chem
HL1 Bio
Spanish 5-6
World History CL
HL1 Film Studies

If the GC forces me to get an 8th subject instead of monitoring, I’ll probably try TA-ing or self-study for an AP.

I’m a rising senior.

Ap french
Ap euro
Ap eng
Anatomy & phys(dual)
Poli sci (dual)
Pre cal (haha I suck!)

I go to private btw, not much different than ppublic imo.

Yeahm damn is it IB? My school has a year for spanish. I think it is weird that some schools do it that way, like a year a semester, because it is mostly the same material, just calling it something different every semester. And most colleges still count it as one year… weird. I don’t get it. But some schools really do a year of language a semester, but only IB that I have seen.

Really? I volunteered with a couple of girls from a Catholic private school and their schedule was constantly being rearranged…

Ugh, I don’t even want to think about my senior year sched. D: I have the feeling it’s going to be absolutely impossible.

Edit: Yeah, my school is IB. It’s really not a year a semester… Spanish 5-6 is equivalent to year three. I think we just call it 5-6 for scheduling purposes.

I feel so lame taking pre cal. I was gonna take it this summer and do ap calc ab senior year but decided I’d rather be unproductive. Math was never really my forte though, and it doesn’t really apply to my major.

I am taking pre calc over the summer, but I also ended Alg II with a 102% and am in math club, (last year I got the 5th highest score on a PROBE exam, beating seniors and juniors =D) So I like math, and i want to major in it. But otherwise getting to calc isn’t like life or death.

Well my schedule changes a lot too. Kinda, I also have to take religion, mandatory to graduate. That’s a semester each (has to be full year). Usually my schedule changes if I have a lab day. Last year I took AP bio so two days out of the week I didn’t have lunch! Same with chem and gym is only three days a week, but that’s only for freshmen and sophmores.

This year only my semesters change because I’m taking a&p, no lab.

I’m pretty ahead in terms of math, but it’s not going to be at all useful to my major, I imagine. I dislike math. xD.

Yeah you are a year ahead (or two depending on where you live).

I dislike math as well. Probably because I just suck at it. I’m gonna be a history major so I won’t need it too much.

No way I’m taking my subject tests in math!
