I haven't seen any mention of this book here and forgive me if this is redundant, but one of my son's summer reading selections is this new (2007) novel about college admissions. It's just a light romp, so far, and quite amusing.

From what I've heard about it, it sounds like a fun read. I have it on reserve at our library. And in the meantime, I'm currently reading Susan Coll's previous novel, "Rockville Pike", which I'm enjoying--great satire of soccer moms and suburbia.

Another fun novel dealing with college admissions is "Jane Austen in Scarsdale: or Love, Death, and the SAT's". It's not Jane Austen, but its a cute satire that will make you smile in familiarity with the admissions process.

It is a delightful read. I would have posted about it but I figured others had beaten it to me weeks ago. I came away feeling much lighter about the whole process.

mom2sons, good suggestion--I really enjoyed "Jane Austen in Scarsdale", as well. Also, I had to smile at the very brief plug for Drexel within the story, considering that's where the author, Paula Marantz Cohen, teaches.;)
