a/o level student chances of a scholarship

ok i recently completed my common app and thought that i may as well ask some experienced ppl aout my chances. however i want chances : not only og getting in but also of any scholarships that the college might give me. i aim to get a full shoclarship (casue i am very poor, i do sound like im up myself but im not really). i shall start my giving a profile of myself

QUALIFICATIONS
O Levels CIE UK (taken in Pakistan, Year 9, 10 US Equivelant):

Economics : A (95%)
Physics : A (91%)
Chemistry : A (90%)

NOTE: Pakistan is the only country in the world where the CIE guys give a percentage. it is neede for equivalence or something.

AS Level CIE UK (taken in Nepal, Year 11 US Equivalent)

Physics : A

A Level CIE UK (taken in Nepal, Year 12 US Equivalent)

NOTE i gave maths in one year and this is the whole A level. Eco and physics are just AS levels. im going to give my A Level exams this may june.

EXTRA STUFF:

i was elected student body president ( Head Boy) . this is probably the most important extra thing that ive done amd i rreally built it up on the common app.

another fairly important thing. i teach a weekly mathematics class within the school to student from Year 7 to A levels. i was chosen by a teacher for this job. it is really helpful for me aouse i plan on applying for a degree in maths ( i love maths)
3.Also, my dad is a diplomat so we get to move around a lot i mentioned that i had travelled to and lived in over 15 contries. this wasnt exactly required but i thought it was worht mentioning.

Charity and community service both as a student and as Head boy. nothing independant tough

Bank intern for a few months

I play the guitar ( not in a band or anyhting)

I enjoy sports especially basket ball and cricket ( not in a team0

hmmmmmmmm
thats about it for qualifications and extra stuff. i should also mention that my essays were farily mediocre - ie not too amazing or anything.

these are the colleges i have applyed to. i chose fairly unknown unis ( atleast to me) to increae my chances of getting a scholaship. i am applying for a postion in the maths department.

MY COLLEGES

Lafayette College

Union College

Wake forest uni

Case western reserve

Carleton Uni

this is all i have appllyed to but i also have Rice uni on my list. i didnt complete the supplement casue i didnt think that they had a good scholarship program any comments on that would be appreciated.

Anyhow that is about it. i would really appreciate my chances on both getting in and my chances on getting a scholarship ( hopefully)and if so how much percent

hmmm i think it was kind of a stupid move selecting only lesser known colleges. The better a uni is, the more likey it has a higher endowment. Bigger endowments equal more aid. Like harvard princeton yale etc guarantee to meet 100 percent of your demonstrated need. I think more than scholarships, what you need to look out for is aid. Its easier to get (since youre from nepal/pakistan) plus its noncompetitive. but right, your chances are pretty okay at all your colleges. need to work on your sat 1 though because i know for a fact case western gives scholarships based on sat score. other than that you're pretty well off.

ammarsfound wow i just read your chances and it made me feel extremely worthless compared to you. wow. anyhow i am not really poor its just that my parents arenot really willing to send me to theus unless i get a full scholarship. australia is the next choice.
ps im just pakistani just living in nepal that all.anyhow thanks

you shouldnt. My schools really really competitive, and people here are just like that. but the thing is unless your parents are earning more than a hunderd thousand dollars american, you qualify for a LOT of aid. scholarships only pay like 5 thousand bucks or something. I'm getting 35000 in grants from chicago (which is still less than what i'd expected).

Any more chances,........Also i ticked no on the financial aid any does that mean i cant get aid......Anyone please

WHY WOULD YOU TICK NO IF YOU NEED FINANCIAL AID LOL??

and ammar he wouldnt get very much aid because internationals in most schools dont get need-based financial aid.

Chances anyone please im dying here

i dont know about scholarships but you've got good chances at all the colleges, especially since you arent applying for aid

Bump nudge etc

More chances please

One last time help of out here i could use any any response

bump.................

Well to tell you the truth not much chance for aid. Carlteton is a reach so dont expect tons of money there. Dnt know bout Lafayette. Cooper Union is free if you go. Case gives lots of money which is why so many people apply there. You may have a shot there and wake is very competitive so i wouldnt expect one there. With that said you checked no on financial aid which means dont expect nething

Bump bump bump
