I’ve been homeschooling for a little under 2 years now, using MOOCs and other online courses to learn.
I’ve taken the SAT and 3 subject tests as my tests I’ll be submitting:
SAT: 2210; 740 CR, 760 M, 710 W
SAT II: 670 Chem, 640 MathII, 600 Phys
EE/CS major.
I’m currently using online templates to create my own high school transcript, but as I used online courses (self-paced, mostly) to learn, should I put “A” or “100%” or “Pass” as the grades for each course?
I’d put A. WE did the same thing - with MOOCs, etc. If you don’t have a GPA, you won’t qualify for a lot of scholarships. I’d also recommend taking some college courses so they have independent verification of your grades (and from what I heard - test scores aren’t enough). My daughter is getting acceptances to colleges and scholarships, but the independent verification of grades were a must.
Really??
I’m an international student, so I can’t take community college/other college courses unless they’re MOOCs. Would listing all the MOOCs, then SAT I + IIs, plus an essay, letter of recommendation (from parents…) on the transcript not enough? + all the technicalities like Student Name, Date of Graduation, etc…
The date has passed on scholarships for most schools I want to apply to anyway, so that’s not a concern.
hello
if the schools you are applying to are not SAT 2 mandatory I would leave those scores off
your SAT score is strong but not so on the SAT 2
definitely put A as your grade
If all A’s then GPA 4.0
Does anyone know where to look at example/sample homeschool transcripts? I’m confused about the extra information (essay, philosophy, ECs…) and where to put it. Just in the same doc as the grade chart?
Aren’t ECs already in the Common Application App as “Activities”?
And where to describe the courses you’ve listed?
