A passion I never thought of..

I got a bit discouraged when a few of ya’ll told me that my 10 billion leadership positiions with random clubs were gonna get me in trouble in college admissions. You gave me that whole thing about showing a passion in my EC’s. Well, I figured out that my passion is being a leader. So I’ll just write an essay about it.
It was just a new way to look at it and not feel like every place I will apply to is gonna reject me.

well thats just peachy

that is an interesting perspective. who knows? it definitely wont hurt. sorry about that previous post. i just didnt see much of a question in the thread.

that would just make you sound arrogant...

Really, as misterme2009 said, that IS an interesting perspective. There's absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying various different EC's, and writing an essay about a passion for leadership shows, as one admissions officer oh so concisely put it, a "funky, personal zest." I salute you! :)

I would frame it in terms of a passion for working with people and organizing activities for the common good of all mankind. Saying you have a passion for leadership makes you sound like a very competitive person who has to be in charge. That, or Hitler. (I'm actually trying to help.)

Thanks DualAnya.
and eeepiyk, i would, of course, try to write the essay so i dont sound like an ass and like everything is all about me. It would just be about how Im outspoken and Im good at putting everyones ideas together, not how I use all MY ideas or anything.
yeah...like dufus said.
