do you think schools will take highly into account the new info they get such as the writing subscore out of 80 and essay out of 12...i got a 2400/80/12 in one sitting (though not my first time taking the SAT)...would this be a strong factor at elite universities?

adding to the discussion...the past four people from my school to get in to stanford ALL had 1600's...i think thats a trend worth noting...i think stanford will reject me tho...no nat'l/internat'l science/math awards

a 1600 is better than a 1590 as much as a 1200 is better than an 1190. a nearly insignificant difference.

The SAT is not a measure of intelligence or potential, in fact, it is even scored in comparison to the other kids who took the test that day, meaning that some days or tests could be more difficult than others. I'm sure most ppl on this board can agree that the test itself is generally easy and the main difficult is trying not to have a brain fart and make a careless mistake. A 1600 is great, but at the high academic level, is no better than say a 1550.

About the 2400/2400: It is not clear how colleges will treat the New SAT this year, and each college can certainly treat it differently. However, it is somewhat likely that the M and CR portions will be treated just like always and the Writing portion will be treated like the old SAT II Writing test (although with a lower mean).

I'm not saying that people lie, but it is possible that people may say that they have a 1600/1600 when they really don't. I know that that may be hard to believe.

People LIE on the INTERNET?!?!?!?! I always thought the internet was a place of honesty and integrity, not falsehoods.

But yet, seeing as there were less than 100 2400's this year, I would doubt that so many people have gotten perfect scores.

Hey, if you can't trust a medium that says there are millions of hot women wanting to have sex with you, who can you trust?????
