A Picture as Part of My Application!?

My son applied online right near/on the RD deadline and he didn't send in a photo either. I don't think it asked for one on the online application - I can't say for sure since I didn't see the app. Someone said that those applying ED were asked for a photo. Who knows? It didn't hurt him. He was accepted to Brown & PLME.

When my D applied RD last year I know she didn't send in a picture. When I saw this thread a while ago, I went back and looked at the app and there was no spot (online) for a pic. If there's a spot for it, decide to send it or not, I guess. My D is a happy First-Year at Brown now, so I guess it was not necessary to send a pic!

My dd is applying to Brown, and saw their request for a photo.

When we ordered senior photos, we ordered enough to send one with each of her applications, even though only Brown requested it.

Why did we decide to do this? If we were reading applications, we'd like to be able to put a face with the info.

yeah, but where, on the online app, do you upload a picture?

The online app doesn't give the option. But maybe you could put it onto your uploaded activities and awards document, if you really want. That's all I could think of.

My dd is sending her photo with her other supplemental stuff, by snail-mail. Actually, she'll give the photos to her GC, who will send the stuff off to the colleges.

It could easily be included with the uploaded copy of your activities and awards document.

wait so would you suggest uploading a picture online? will admissions think it is weird because they do not specifically ask for it on the web? most online applicants probably don't upload. you know?

should i do it?

I don't see where it asks for a picture on the paper application?

It doesn't.

I ended up putting a cropped shot of my face on the top right corner of my activities and interests list, just so they have a face to match with the application. Doubt it does anything, but hey, why not
