Too bad they don't defer...haha.

NYU does not do deferrals from E.D. to R.D.

I really hope we get letters SOMETIME this week! I don't think I can face another weekend without knowing. GSP, acceptance, rejection, whatever! I just want to know, once and for all, so I can stop obsessing....

NYU doesn't defer.

Accept/Reject/GSP

and GSP is mainly limited to CAS..with exceptions for some from Tisch so for us Sternies is Accept/Reject :-X...my guess is 91% reject 9% accept...actually thats a little generous haha...they already made their decision so its the wait to find out...but you can't lose hope now can ya? I'm hanging in there, but not getting hyped up only to be disappointed. Thats my strategy for keeping my mind off of it...its allowed me to sleep better at night because when you except the worse...you don't get as disappointed.

the acceptance rate is not 9% for stern... especially not for early

acceptancerate is definetly ALOT higher ED... probably higher than 20% at least

I totally messed up on that post because that isn't what I intended to say...I meant to say that for ME based on my stats my acceptance chances are 9%...acceptance rate ED for Stern is the same as all the other schools...sorry for the misunderstanding. The point was although my stats are low and will probably be rejected, i'm hanging in there but not dwelling on it too much.

ahh that sounds better, its always best to keep hopes and confidence high

did anyone get the gsp letter yet?

i got my GSP letter today! YAY!

congrats! ahh im so anxious to find out!

Woah...

I applied as well early to Stern. I called their offices last week and they said they received 3400 ED applications. A few hundred more than last year. It's safe to accumulate stats from last year I would say.

3400 for all the school? Not just for Stern, right.

For the entire school. I would assume atleast half of those applications are Stern apps as NYU is distinguished for their business program.

Don't be so sure of that desi...it seems like a lot more apply to CAS and Tisch. I hope more people applied to Wharton instead of Stern :) and are leaving Stern for RD.

desiOr: What were your stats like?

Indian people definetely have a harder time getting into Stern. Some many of us apply and are highly qualified.

Eh I'm Indian and have low stats..so i'm definitely screwed :

I posted this on another thread, but since I am curious to know, did everyone receive that NYU Parents' News Financial Aid brochure about how to pay for NYU? It seems cruel that they would send it and then reject you...but what do I know...I think admissions officers maybe have a tendency to be cruel sometimes.
