A question about AP Calculus BC

If say the university recognizes the exam and I get a 4 or 5 and I get the credit, does that mean I can skip the first-year mathematics?

Also, if I can't what is another course that I can skip the first-year of math? Will IB Further maths Sl suffice?

Usually with a 4 or 5 on the BC exam, you skip whatever is equivalent to Calc I and II and are placed into Calc III (or also known as Mulitvariable Calculus).

Is that second year???

You should check with each individual school.

Why?? DOes Calculus BC only earn you 2/3s of first-year?? Is first-year that hard??

sigh.
Think about it this way. Calc BC covers Calc I and Calc II. Calc III is the next semester of calculus.
Therefore, Calc BC is usually the “first year” of math.
