A question about Major admissions

So, career-wise, i could do either English or Communications, but what is the easier/more commonly accepted Major to get into?
I have taken general courses so far, but specifically, have taken 2 English courses and 1 Communications class - both areas I liked.

And is there a general easy major to apply to/get accepted into?

Could you be a little more specific as in what type of communications you are interested in? Journalism? Advertising?

As for choosing a major...if you want to apply in communications you should have some prominent communications related material on both your course schedule as well as some extra curricular stuff involving communications, for instance submit work to local newspapers.

I'm not quite sure yet. I know I wouldn't mind a career in journalism, but do not plan on majoring in that. But realistically, I'm thinking of going into publishing. But English, however common it may be, isn't easy to get into, is it?

Any responses to my second question?

You can definitely apply undecided, but I wouldn't say its "easier" to apply undecided rather than as a specific major.
