a question on recommendations

Almost a month ago, both my teachers mailed out my recommendations. Last night when i tracked my application, only one of the two were registered...i realize that there could have been a delay with the system but still a month seems a bit long. I am worried that there was a problem with the mail...what can i do?

That happened to me too and it eventually showed up, about a month after it should have been received. You can call Cornell, but they might just give you the generic "there is a delay in the system" line. They will let you know if it's missing and you won't be held accountable for it.

hmm...it only worries me because i realize that cornell considers my app ready with only one rec...but i really do think the other would help out

Yeah, I'm in the same situation. Hopefully my teachers remembered to send them!

Just call them and they'll let you know what to do. Or provide no help, like the lady I called. You could send it again if the receptionist proves to be utterly useless and offers you some generic consolation. Doesn't Cornell require two recommendations?

yea they do but they "consider an application ready with just one"-i'll call..i mean everyone has mail problems haha. anyways gracias for helping!!

De nada :p

do you think they'll simply reject the recommendation if my teacher sends in a duplicate just to be on the safe side?

Nah, definitely not, lol. They'll think the teacher is responsible for doing it anyways.

wicked! anyway are you all done with your apps?

I go to Cornell, but I can't tell you who I am or I'll get kicked off again.

lol. alright...again?

that's right

HiImAnAlcoholic, is that who I think it is? PM me...
