A quick question about teacher recommendations...

..I have already got one sorted out last junior year, and he is my AP Human Geo and western civ teacher and he will be giving my rec, but I want to be an engineer and I was wondering. Is it important what type of teacher gives the rec? Like, would it be better for my Physics teacher to give my rec because I want to be an engineer? The problem is though is that the physics teacher doesn't really like me and my grades in that class were not as good as my Human geo grades, so I was just wondering if it's really super important to match the teacher with your major.

It's the beginning of senior year so I'll have to make a decision whether to do it or not quickly, but I don't want to overburden myself and the physics teacher if it's not hugely important to do so.

Thanks for any replies!

Unless a college spcifically asks for a certain type of letter (one math/science and one humanities teacher),then your recommendation should be fine. I recommend getting more than one however, such as an English teacher or history teacher.
