Hello, I was wondering if the Admission Committee does go through the additional letter of recommendation besides the 3 main ones. I submitted mine through the Common App and it is downloaded (I presumed by the committee) but on the Application Portal, there is no indication of supplemental letter of recommendation. What does this mean?
The portal tracks the required elements of an applicant’s file, but does not track any extra’s as those items vary by student. You just have to assume the Admissions Office has received the extra LoR and has read it. The same goes for students who have submitted a research abstract, research report, math project, art supplement, music supplement etc. Extra’s are not tracked.
Thank you @Gibby! I would place hope in the possibility that they do read the extra letter of recommendation. It’s a big part of my application.
