Hi guys! I submitted my app to Harvard a few days ago and have also received my portal. On the portal, it says they have two teacher recommendations, but I have submitted three; the third was not supplemental and was put under “Teacher Recommendations” by my guidance counselor through Naviance. Is this normal, or should I contact Harvard? Thank you so much!
Unless things have changed, the applicant portal only tracks the required elements of a file. Extra things submitted, such as a supplemental recommendation, third letter of recommendation, art portfolio, music supplement, or research supplement/project will vary from applicant to applicant, so those items are not tracked and recorded. You just have to assume that Admissions received it.
@gibby Okay, thank you so much! I knew that it wouldn’t note anything that was supplemental, but I wasn’t sure if the third recommendation would be deemed supplemental by Harvard.
Harvard requires two 2 teachers recommendations. Anything beyond that is something extra that not all applicants will submit: https://college.harvard.edu/admissions/application-requirements
