A REAL bad year

I having a bad year GPA-wise. I have taken 5 APs and got C's in four out of eight of my classes. My unweighted GPA avg. has fallen dramatically to a 3.5. I'm still i the top ten percent but I feel as if respectable colleges would accept me. I'm a junior and my test scores are terrible (PSAT: 1240 haven't taken SAT I yet). With the preparition for various AP exams, (statisitcs and english language), I feel as if my scores would go up. I going insane; please tell me that my fears are overplayed!

Perhaps you mistyped what you intended to say. Help us out here.

My year has sucked to...Too many reasons to list...

Oh… you will get those scores up. I mean you are taking AP right, so you know you are smart and those scores will go up. I'm much of worry-worry myself and my mom always tells me there is no medicine that will cure worrying, you just have to look at the present and the future the past is gone all you can do is learn from it. Rather than worrying so much, just focus. Worrying will get you nowhere, neither will fear; we all know that you know that. Just keeping working hard and you'll be fine. (I’m not too great at making people feel better, but I try). Just remember you’ll be fine. You still have time to get those C’s to become B’s or A’s. You also have time to get that B+ GPA to an A.

Best of luck!

darkemperor......your scores will undoubtedly come up and remember that there is much to to adcoms than GPA...

same here. It is pretty bad for me too. Alabama's lost today just topped it off.:(

Just keep working at it, your scores WILL go up and so will your grades if you work a little harder.

One way to improve your quality of work would be to quit worrying so much.

BTW, I picked Wisc-Milwaukee over 'Bama and I don't follow NCAA as much as I do other sports, the way 'Bama's been playing, it wasn't so much of a shocker.

Yeah. I've had senioritis since late in the first semester of my junior year. The best thing to do is to embrace it and enjoy yourself. It's less stressful that way, and I think it actually makes it easier to study enough to keep a decent GPA. You might lose some sleep and have to pull an all-nighter like once a week, but I'm the kind of guy that's procrastinated through school for as long as I remember, so I'm exceedingly efficient at it. Hell, I love the adrenyline...

My advice to improve grades: GET OFF OF CC!
yea i picked bama losing, but *** why did Pitt lose??? i had them going to the elite 8-now im s-c-r-e-w-e-d

its all good cus the ILLINI are gonna win it all!

of course I had to pick bama..sah... But I had them beating BC and losing to Illinois in elite eight. I tell you, they really aren't that bad. Wisconsin just sank tres one after another. They just got lucky.:)

To stay relevant to the topic: Good luck, you can do it.

I have Wisc-Milwaukee advancing but losing to BC which will fall to Illinois. Curse UAB, I didn't think they could beat LSU. I picked Creighton over WVU and they're coming through so far.

I missed the Pitt game and the LSU game

ILLINI
oh do you guys remember the rose bowl effect? it was when northwestern's apps rose 25% (or something extreme) the year after they played in the rose bowl. will something like that happen with illinois, or is it different because its a State U?
