hi everyone.
I really screwed up/ am screwing up my high school career. I have A's and B's in every class, and my weighted GPA is 3.4. I am completely lost as to what to do with all my academic related problems. My family still says that I have a CHANCE at getting into college by doing well on my SAT and PSAT and with extra-curricular activities. I am going to be a junior next year.

So… what’s the problem? You’re obviously going to get accepted to college. A’s and B’s aren’t exactly bad. Do well on standardized tests, get involved, keep studying hard, etc.
Be realistic with yourself when you apply for colleges, though.

You’ll get into a state school don’t worry. Just try to take harder classes next year and senior year and get As to show an upward trend and raise your gpa

I’m floating in a similar boat. I’m taking college classes over the summer, and will be working my behind off for the next two years with volunteering, trying my hardest to get straight As, extra-curriculars, etc. You should do the same. Cheer up! You’ll end up somewhere great. :)

Pal-
I graduated high school with a 2.9 GPA. I got a 1.45 GPA first semester freshman year. I made the deans list at college both semesters. I didnt get higher than a 3.6 gpa in high school. Grades are definately important man, but live life a little, dont sweat the little stuff your gonna be successful. Let God lead you down the path he wants, itll be the way its meant to be. Youll be fine!
