A Recommended Site For Parents

I was going to post this over in admissions, but I figured parents may benefit just as much from this info.

http://nces.ed.gov/index.asp

Click "School, College, and Library Search" and enter your school name. When you click the school on the search results, a new window will pop up. Click "More Information" (next to "print" at the top).

Why it is useful
For example, click on "financial aid" when you are at a school's profile. It will give you a breakdown of the average financial aid package divided into Loans, Institutional Grants, and Federal Grants

It has information on graduation/retention rates and shows percentages with 4 years, 5 years, and 6 years.

It has all this information for nearly every college.

I hope it helps.

Most helpful! Many thanks!

Also helpful: After clicking on the "more information" and getting the school profile, click on "admissions". This gives some admissions #'s and stats more quickly than navigating some of the schools' websites.

I've given out this link several times on this bb, but prefer to start from here: http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cool/
