Alright so i got an email the other day reminding me to check on the 10th online to see if i got in...did everyone who got in already get this a week before?

I know it might mean nothing but think about it...
you know they know almost all the people who are in so far
....and i got deferred last time and guess what...i never got a reminder email so maybe

I think my chances are good because as you may no i have sort of distant relatives who went there and gave alot of money...theyre like my dads uncle and someone else like my dads other uncle lol idk exactly...but yeah after i got deferred the one person wrote another letter saying how i am qualified enough (which i am its just a tough year to get in) and i really wanna go there unlike alot of people. And to my pleasure they both called a week or two ago to stress the fact that i should be accepted.

I figure alot of people after getting defferred just said whatever and didnt put any effort into getting in I.E sending mid year grades (which were excellent) or calling back admissions...which i did so im hoping i get in.

I figure since i fit all the avg's on their info...such as gpa and SAT...i figured im an avg student so since they expected alot of apps this year theyd better wait...which they did.

it may be nothing but based on all the other stuff i talked about i think i got a good chance.

did you get in?

i got deffered. and wait listed.

I was deferred early action and now I have been wait-listed.

I sent recommendations, mid-year grades, a supplemental musical tape, and followed up after being deferred--so there are people who did take action and did what they could to show their interest.

I guess the 17,000+ applications made the difference, UVM was one of my safeties, but after a second visit it became one of my top choices. so hopefully i'll be taken off the waitlist...statistically i was over-qualified and out-of-state, but i'm guessing there were thousands of other people who were also overqualified and out of state. oh well, i'll just have to wait and see!

what are your stats?

hey, i don't like to give out my stats but i had sat scores 20-50 points above the ranges provided by collegeboard, had great recs (i think, i didn't see them), good essays, good ECs. my gpa is good too, but it had a big jump after sophomore year because my learning disability was diagnosed. so i'm not sure if that had anything to do with it.

I got in with 1090 sats, and 88 unweighted gpa, I played 3 sports and, wrote for our school newspaper. My school record was my strength, as I have taked honors and ap classes throughout hs.

i got in with a 2.7 1670 sats and played 3 sports 4 years some volunteer work but i got no e-mail before hand
