I've submitted everything and the last thing says Received 10/19/2009 on WolverineAccess but no decision yet. All my friends have received their acceptance letters (one of my friends who submitted only two weeks ago, AFTER me, already got in too) so I was just wondering whether this means that they've deferred/rejected me (with rolling admission and whatnot) and are simply waiting to hand out the decision at a later date?

Dude, chill. One, your stats are solid. Two, ED ended a mere 8 days ago. I’ve come to find that there are a BUNCH of paranoid people here on CC, and quite frankly, it’s easy to get caught up in all their insanity. But you shouldn’t be worried, you’re guaranteed a decision before December 24th, meaning it could be late October like your friends, or December 23rd. A lot of my friends last year who applied mid/late October got their decisions around Thanksgiving and early December, one of whom had a 3.9 and a 36 (he actually got waitlisted, but that’s a different story altogether). My point is, you’re fine, just wait for the decision. I know it’s hard, but it’ll come.

Thanks for the feedback, I’m just worried since college apps are pretty nerve wracking and it’s kinda hard watching all your friends get in (so far around 9 of my friends are already in)

We’re all in the same boat, man, and I feel 'ya. It’s a stressful time of the year, no doubt! But if it helps at all, I don’t think you have any reason to be worried.

haha there are so many paranoid kids on CC. I am not making fun of you xttang, but you are clearly in. Relax a little bit and enjoy your last year in high school. Your acceptance is only a matter of time…

That’s why. They take longer for permanent residents and internationals. You should receive a decision soon. You could call them and find out if your application is currently being reviewed or if something is missing.

Hey, blackpen, think you’re right about that. Last year my son wasn’t admitted until mid-December when his pals seemed to be accepted earlier. I thought it was his stats, but he did win scholarship so was likely a high admit. BUT he went through the residency confirmation process, which took 10 weeks, and his admit came a week after his residency confirmation. Hmm. Hope that helps OP to know.
Good luck!

xttang, I’m in the same boat. I applied september 18th along with about half of my school and most of my friends are in already, several of whom with poorer grades and lower ACT scores than me. I’m really hoping the next batch of decisions will include me. Good luck!
