I just want to thank everyone who offered opinions or encouragement and support for our search for a college that would fit all of my D's wants and desires. We found CC site by accident and boy am I glad I did. And it was very late in the game. I learned so much about this whole process of auditioning that I hope I was able to return the favor to some of you. To those of you who's kids end up on a waitlist, yes they do pull from them and yes, it is possible. Following up with a personal phone call shows that you really are still interested in coming to their school. With so many talented kids getting into multiple programs ,and then letting the schools know early that they are turning them down gives others a chance to take advantage of a college they really want to go to. I thank all of you thoughtful students and wish you all well in your college choices. We had 2 great choices, and a 3rd came at the right time for a tie break and a complete turn around! We still have 1 more waitlist choice and if that does come through, we will gladly lose the deposit to go there, but as of right now, my D is very happy with her choice. Thanks again and good luck in your futures.;)

I would also like to add my thanks to all of you who regularly contribute to this site. I, too found CC by accident a couple of summers ago; we were taking my D to BoCo for a vocal program and looking for an address, found this website. I know the whole process of researching, visiting, applying to, and auditioning for schools would have been a completely different experience if it wasn’t for the generous advice, compassion, and hand holding (especially after finding soozievt) we received. I fondly refer to many of you by your screen names to my family, and it was not unusual for my D to ask, “well why don’t you see what so-and-so thinks!” Thank you to all of you who responded to specific requests by pm, as well.

There is a strange sense of calm, now that a final decision has been made, and we are looking forward to the next chapter. Congratulations to all of you - and again, thank you for helping us get through this!

After following everyone’s searches, successes, and unexpected turns in their quests for the perfect fit for the last year, Could you all please fill in the last part of their choices? I would love to know where everyone ended up! Scroll down on the main page of the musical theatre schools and it’s about the 10th thread down. Especially the ED kids. Their search was short and sweet, but your voices continued to help all those still searching.
Thanks!

I’d like to add in my thanks. The voices here have been invaluable through the whole process. Each acceptance posting has been celebration- and proof that the experience these people share is important. You are too numerous to list, but thank you all.

This has certainly been one of those experiences we will remember as a right of passage with our sons or daughters. You all have been a big part of this past year. All the meals we have eaten in our cars, parked outside a dance studio. The lines we run…the vocals we try out on the piano…the constant support to help in the process which began for many as little kids. Ice, ibuprofen, rest, conversations…research…research…essays…auditions…rejections…acceptances…waitlists. And now…with their determination and practice and hard work…they have made their decisions. Next year will be great…and we feel good knowing we can help others in our area figure this process out. You all offer so much advice without expecting anything in return. What a wonderful, supportive group…and we thank you many times over.

Not to be cliche, but I would like to add in my thanks as well. This has been such a nice support system as well as a wonderful information source. I felt so very prepared for my auditions due to all of the information I got. Also, hearing others’ words of wisdom helped put the rejections in perspective and helped me focus on the acceptances I did get instead of where I didn’t get in. I really appreciate everyone on CC, and I feel like I owe a large portion of the success I had this year to everyone here for their willingness to help.
