To avoid what happen with this year AP exams I want to start studying early. So my question is how do review books different from year to year. As in should I wait for the 2012 AP books to come out or should I just buy the 2011 versions?

With the exception of AP French, German, and World History, the 2011 books should be fine for preparing for 2012. These three courses are being redesigned by the College Board, so the material will vary slightly. Otherwise, the older books are perfect, but disregard anything in the front that states that 0.25 points are deducted for each wrong mc question, as that changed this year.

Thanks gummybear123! Is there anyway I can find these changes they are making?
